12 February, 2017 Emergya and the FIWOO team move to Select4Cities phase II Over the next six months (until June 2018), the committee will continue developing the Smart Cities FIWOO platform, which promotes open and secure innovation in the IoT environment. Emergya and the team developing the FIWOO platform, a consortium formed by Secmotic, JIG and Bosonit, will continue in phase II of the European Select4Cities initiative. This way, over the next six months (until June 2018), the committee will continue developing the Smart Cities FIWOO platform, which promotes open and secure innovation in the IoT environment. In particular, the aim is to integrate the platform with the different systems of the cities in order to generate innovative applications for local governments and their citizens, using new Machine Learning algorithms and Big Data analysis. The FIWOO platform is based on three fundamental pillars: open software, innovation and security, being the first IoT platform integrated with BlockChain. Its construction will be guaranteed by three of the most developed cities in IoT: Helsinki, Copenhague and Antwerp. “Emergya is going to compete in the Smart Cities sector, with a complete IoT platform, guaranteed by three of the most innovative European cities” Manuel Giménez, head of R&D Only five committees have gone through this second phase of Select4Cities: Engineering Ingegneria Informatica team, formed by Engineering Ingegneria Informatica, ATC International and EIT Digital; Indra Sistemas S.A. team; City of Data team, form by Martel Innovate, UbiWhere and Therapenis; and, Snap4City team, formed by University of Florence, Effective Knowledge y University of Milan. Only three committees will be selected for the last phase of Select4Cities.
